A worthwhile read for the single mom who is looking forward to a brighter future.
Well written book that offered a clearly defined method for finding/creating a support group for single moms. Humour interwoven with poignant points with personal recollections from various ‘successful single mom’ examples provided emotional hooks that held the reader and compelled them towards completing the book. Not a difficult read by any means, this book was well laid out and provided the reader with the promised content in a comprehensive and interesting fashion. Good read.

As a former single mom, this book spoke directly to the topics I remember dealing with, or dare I say, struggling through. The beautiful thing about it is that it’s practical and fun while delivering valuable tools and insight. It is the kind of book you’ll refer back to time and again as you continually achieve goals and set new ones. This is an awesome tool for anyone who is recently single or who has been single a long time; anyone working through challenges on their own or with a coach. As a divorce coach, I feel so strongly about this book series that I’ve made this material an integral part of my coaching practice.

HONOREE CORDER MAKES IT SO MUCH EASIER TO BE A SINGLE MOM!
When I purchased this book, I’d just become a single mom. Desperate for any information that was relevant to single moms and written by someone who’d been in the trenches, I took the plunge after reading Honoree’s Blog, The Successful Single Mom. All I can say is thank God for caring, generous women who share their own lives and the sorrow, pain and triumph they endured to help the rest of us avoid as many of the pitfalls they faced. From her clear understanding of how one feels when going through a divorce, to feeling the fear that you won’t be enough for your child/children, to an action plan to getting on with your life in a sane, successful way–Ms. Corder walks the walk she talks. If it weren’t for her book, and, the Good LORD, I don’t know what I would have done. Not for me
This is a good book for someone who is in the thick of a divorce? Or maybe recently widowed? It is a book to help you feel like your life is not over now that you are a single mom. When I read the book, I was already a single mom for a while and looking for some motivation or tips and I felt depressed after reading it because I was already past the “how am I going to do it by myself” stage of being a single mother. I would highly recommend it for someone who is a VERY new single mother… If you have already been a single mother for a while don’t waste your time.
