Excellent recipes with difficulty ratings and great fun for parties
I threw a Halloween party, and not only were the recipes I used on point (mummy tartlets and mummy dogs), but it also gave me great ideas for other food and party activities (everyone making pizzas together using pepperoni to make scary faces, cakes shaped like brains). Each recipe has a difficulty rating (Easy, Medium, Hard) and that gives good advisement on how kid-friendly a recipe may be or how much work it requires. Most recipes also have a big beautiful picture to help guide decoration, which personally I found very helpful.They have a wide variety of difficulty levels to appeal to kids and adults, which I appreciate. I will say, however, that the recipes tend to err on the blander side if you follow them to the letter, which personally I don’t mind because it invites me to customize the seasoning. (I recommend adding a dash of honey to the butternut squash mash in the mummy tartlets, and be generous with your salt and goat cheese.) Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and some of the recipes are definitely going into my general rotation.

I purchased this book because I love the movie, so I thought it would be a great buy. It was perfect: it had really cool recipes AND there is a separate section for parties, where it gives you games to play, invites, a menu, what to decorate with. I was worried as I didnât know how to get the decor, BUT they are printable, for free (so are the invites)! These are on a website which you are given the link to. Those decorations you canât print have instructions which are easy to follow. I loved this book, and itâs perfect for if you want to have a themed night around the movie!
