    SO FAR SO SPLENDID… BUT….
How about that “headline for a cliff hanger….”DATELINE:Saturday 12 October 2024 I started my search for an affordable, aesthetically pleasing, bluetooth label make w/one HUGE CAVEAT…. I had to be able to print using font that I CREATED (via another app). I was stalking this cutie (it hit the affordability—well more on that momentarily—absolutely an aesthetically pleasing as well as compact device), BUT would it let me use my own font(s)? I needed to know for sure….I decided to download the APP and see just what it could do. It took me a while, and I had to download another app, but I was able to upload a font (I stopped at 1 because I didn’t commit to buying yet—although I felt entrapped because I’d already spent nearly 30 minutes of my life on the prior task and really didn’t want to have to do it again). I read other reviews (THANK YOU reviewer who noted how the date would print if you hit the power button 1x) and watched the videos (THANK YOU reviewers who posted those too 🙂 (ENTRAPMENT!!! Another thirty minutes gone!!) Then I started to think about whether to buy with extra rolls of tape or not….So, I “slept on it,” and yesterday, Sunday 13 October 2024 I decided to go with the machine that’s (excuse me if i don’t get the color right as I’m too lazy to check on what it’s called) mint green colored (thankfully it cost less than others because it was the color I wanted) w/out extra tape after STILL wavering back-and-forth, but I thought I might be able to buy less expensive tape from another brand if I liked the machine (plus I noticed that others remarked that the tape would last them for a while…. MORE ON THAT IN NEXT PARAGRAPHS). I placed my order and found it would be reaching me in less than 24 hours (thank you Prime Membership). It was here between 4-8AM EST just as promised, but I waited until the afternoon to start to play with this thing. As you can see from my photo, I made a label for a spray bottle of “distilled water,” and I included the ruler as well as the date that was printed after I had to fix the printer spool (I fixed and that’s what came out) and you can see it’s about 1/2 inch tall…. That’s fine for my spray bottle I suppose, BUT… WOAH, if one continues to print HUGE LABELS LIKE THAT 1 ROLL would be gone TOOT SWEET. PLUS, why would I, for example, want the date I opened a jar of face cream to cover nearly the whole product label itself—UGH so UNSIGHTLY/UNNECESSARY/UNECONOMICAL (see how I started my review and what I was looking for in a label maker)? My solution, and it’s one I have to experiment with after I sit down and know what I want to label ahead of time—is creating more than 1 line of text per label (this would mean using a smaller font and I believe I can’t think why I’d print full size again because I’ve been glancing over at my spray bottle and that label looks HUGE and then I think about how much of the label tape was wasted!!) Those who said they were labeling everything must not have many things to label!! So, I believe I will try 2 items per label I print and I will cut them apart myself and if that size is still too big for various needs I’ll try 3 items per label and I might end up w/4 items when it comes to things like opening dates for things like cosmetics where I can stick the thing where it’s not unsightly. So an example of what I’d type in the square for a label in the app might look like thisDistilled VinegarDistilled WaterDark Detergent(Dark detergent = detergent used to clean dark clothing). Then I’d cut the label into 3 separate labels to be placed on items (or 2 if that’s what I decided to use instead) hopefully you get the idea.If you watch the videos that are included on the app you can see an EXTREMELY LONG printout of what I believe notes when a chicken meal was prepared… I thought to myself: “When is this label going to stop printing!! It’s going to end up going around the container!!” Ok, it didn’t end up quite that long, but I think it looks RIDICULOUS on the container and is a WASTE of $$.Experiment, my friends, and keep in mind the continuous tape is 1/2 an inch tall and well I don’t know off-hand how long the whole roll of tape is, but the label on my spray bottle is 3 inches long and the date that printed out is 2.5 inches long so w/that data I’ll let you do the math!!As I progress using this nifty gadget I’ll update you w/what I come up w/as a more cost effective way to use this machine 🙂 I know I’ll “crack the code” then share for those who want a more cost effective way to make use of their label makers too!!

    Cute and practicable
I love this. I use it everyday for work. It works well and fast. The app is easy to use and can be downloaded on any phone. It can’t be used on two phones at the same time but it doesn’t really matter. You can easy disconnect it from one then connect it to the other. I don’t use the fancy templates available but they are very cute and in different variety for basic uses. It’s doesn’t take up space and is easily charged. The battery life lasts quite a while. After a certain time of no use, it turns off it’s self which is also useful so it won’t just waste the battery completely.

    Perfect for my basic needs!
I absolutely LOVE this thing and use it all the time! 100% worth it and no issues after several months of using it. I mainly need to label random household things where permanent marker wipes off, or on temporarily labeled things such as spice jars, cleaning bottles, clothing/shoe storage… It is exactly what I need! I could write several more pros, but these are the main ones.Pros:• The Katasymbol phone app is GREAT! I’ve attached some screenshots to see. It’s very straightforward and easy to use, with included help articles. I don’t have to struggle with a limited keyboard/screen on the printer. Just open the app, turn on the printer and connect.• There’s just enough design customization for me to fit whatever I need. It’s not overwhelming and includes adjustments for text size, text vertical and horizontal alignment, text direction, word and line spacing, tables, integration with Excel or Google Drive, and SOOOO MANY features I haven’t even tried out yet.• The app can save my labels! I LOVE this feature. I make templates so I don’t have to reinvent the wheel each time I want a new label.• The tapes are easy to swap and set up, a standard size so easy to replace, and continuous or individual label size depending on what you want. The 3 included tapes in the bundle all stick well and last (I don’t love the precut labels vs. the continuous but now I know).• The blade to cut works well, going all the way through—straight—the first time.• The compact unit itself is very easy to store and sturdy; I’ve dropped it a ton of times and it always stays latched and hasn’t cracked.• There’s no ink to replace! I haven’t had to clean the printhead yet either.Cons (all minor):• There are only a few pre-designed labels with illustrations and somewhat limited fonts. (I prefer just basic words regardless.)• I wish the printer would auto-connect, but the process is very quick.• Making multiple copies, it prints a long stream of labels and pause to cut or auto-cut. You have to use scissors afterwards. NBD.• It’s only small, black text labels. That’s what I wanted but maybe too unsophisticated for some.• It doesn’t warn you when you’re getting to the end of a roll or give you an error notification if it runs out in the middle of a print job. But it’s easy to just add new tape and redo what you had started.I would buy this again, and may even start using this as a gift for people.

    Cute label printer! Works great!
This is a great little label maker for home use. It is easy to connect and make labels, so easy in fact that you will definitely label unnecessary things 🙂 It’s nice and small, making it easy to tuck in a drawer. I also like that it came with plastic labels and not the paper ones, so they should last longer. One star deducted for the app, it is a little hard to navigate and clunky, but it does work.

    Convenient for Work
I love this thing! It is so compact, much easier to travel with than my home label maker. I keep it in my toolbox at work (I’m a painting contractor) and it is so handy for labeling paint cans for customers. I also use it to label our toolboxes and equipment. The app is easy to use (Android version). I just print simple text, but it can do a lot of different fonts and decorative stuff if you want to play around with it. Recommend keeping the instructions with it. If I haven’t used it recently, I sometimes forget a step in syncing it to my phone and have to refer back to them (it is easy though, I promise).
