I’m a writer and always have 5×7 pads in many places to jot notes, thoughts, or for to do lists. It occurred to me that the good old fashion Spiral might better serve me if a thought needed to be continued in the moment. As in, “there’s a story here that is calling for my immediate attention”, and it’s time to start writing it.These pads are Oxford. Same as Spiral with different ownership? I don’ know. All I know is that I like them.

Love college ruled notebooks as I write letters to friends and these are GREAT! I use gel pens and no issues. No bleed through. I have bought multiple packs over the past couple years. The paper is not too thin and it is smooth. Will continue to purchase these!

… quality of paper; the only two hick ups I have about these notebooks of paper is that while writing on the pages they are so light-weight they curl over my hand while I write and so I have to hold the paper down with my non-writing hand so I can see my writing but this is while a sit up in a bed with my knees raised; I am disabled and cannot sit at a table to write. I have accelerated degenerate disease in my back, neck and shoulders and cannot sit on a regular chair and table to keep the notebooks flat on a table so this is the reason for this particular problem with this thin of paper quality but the paper isnât so thin that I can see my bic pen ink on the other side of each piece so, to me, this is quality thin paper but the curling-over is irritating and I donât have the same issue with thicker quality of paper notebooks but the thicker notebooks are heavier and are more difficult for me to hold up on my thighs to write in them on a bed. I love these notebooks because they are color-coded with their different colored fronts which is what I need; they are light-weight and easier to hold on my lap while needing to be on a bed to write; the wire spiral-binding is of good quality and keeps itâs shape with no points sticking out to cause wire-poked injuries (as Iâve experienced that with some cheaper brands) and 70 sheets per notebook is enough for what I am doing; they are just plain nice; I like them; this is my second purchase; I plan to order them again next month; do wish the price could come down even by $1.50 as that would help me not run out of paper before I can buy more the next month but I can wait and use note pads for other writing I like to do so it is doable.
