Great notebook. Really high quality.
This is an excellent moleskine style bound notebook. The cover has a nice flex to it. It’s not quite soft but not hardcover either. The paper is superb and the gold emboss is a nice touch.It is so nice, in fact, that I am hesitant to use it in earnest.Two issues which I do not believe are a knock on the product or vendor:1) the first of these that I got was a mislabeled body cream. I don’t know whose issue this is though I suspect it’s amazon. It was literally coconut body cream with a journal label on it.2) The notebook is wide-ruled paper. Personally, I prefer college rule or graph paper. This is stylistic so I don’t consider it a knock on the notebook itself.

High quality notebook
Great cover and a good paper for the pages inside. Quality graphic design/printing. The quality of the materials used and the manufacturing is high. My only criticism is that the name of the brand, Harlem Design Co., is printed on every right side page throughout the entire notebook. I get that the company wants to promote its own brand, but the left side has an H logo which is more subtle. If I must have a logo throughout my entire notebook, I find that less distracting. This may not bother other people, but I like a cleaner slate for my thoughts and notes. The price point is on the high side for a Vegan product (there are leather notebooks in the same range) but it is really well-made and bespoke. Recommended.

Flex cover, Decent Paper, High Price
This notebook is a lovely red and gold color with very distinct images. I do have to admit that the dancers made my sister and I a bit uncomfortable and we had to double check that the creator was a POC (she checks out!). I would have loved to have seen the figures with Josephine Baker’s super big and contagious smile. The cover is a soft flex cover with faux leather, gold on the exposed pages, and the Harlem Design Co logo on every page. The logon on each page is a bit of a bummer, but it is what it is. The paper is nice, not overly thick but not overly thin. It can handle some wet pens, but not very dark ones and not for a long time/lot of layers. It handled some of my fountain pens, mostly those with dryer ink and a fine point. Overall, it’s an attractive journal with some questionable choices in design, modest paper, and a steep price tag.

Too beautiful to use
This journal by Harlem Candle Company is gorgeous! The red cover is embossed with images of Josephine Baker in her famous banana skirt. The cover is soft and bendable, like a lot of leather-bound journals. The paper is nice and thick and edged in gold. The company’s name is printed on half the pages, which doesn’t bother me, but might someone else. Overall, this is a beautiful journal and perfect for fans of Josephine Baker or Old Hollywood.

I plan on using this beautiful journal as a gratitude journal! The cover is stunning and I love the design. It seems to be very good quality and the paper is a good thickness. I also love the gold foil paper edges as well. This is going to be great to use daily for my journaling.

Absolutely gorgeous journal- perfect gift for musicians or artists
My daughter is a musician and I gave this to her for the Holidays. She loved it. The journal paper is lined with wide ruled lines, which is excellent for journaling. This is a quality journal. Highly recommend!
