These bento boxes at Amazon don’t stain, melt, fall apart or pop open.
After 12 years of buying the best, the fanciest and most expensive lunch boxes only to fail, I finally found one that works. When I say fancy, I mean some were so expensive, they qualified as Christmas gifts. They got lunch boxes that you plug in and they reheat your food.Sandy, my wife, works nights, weekends double shifts. 2 meals a day or more if she takes a shift at the other hospital too. Her lunch box system gets a workout. She doesn’t have time to go out and eat at a restaurant and the cafeteria is closed during her shift. Working doubles, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches don’t cut it. She used to eat those awful and unhealthy prepared frozen dinners. Concerned for her health and her happiness, I started cooking her lunches/dinners for her. Which means I needed decent containers and a good lunch bag.Years of evolution now has her using a cloth insulated lunch bag and after years of searching, I discovered these bento boxes 10 months ago. They’re worth every penny. I hate the simple snap lid containers that pop open and spill food all over her lunch bag. I hate plastic bags when the food gets smashed, bags rip or melt together in the microwave. I hate snap lid containers that although they stay shut at first, the silicone seals are cheap, they stretch and fall out after just a few trips through the dishwasher only to be found in the bottom of the washer wrapped around the heating element. I hate those bullshit “microwave safe” plastic containers whose surface melts in the microwave, getting frosty white, porous and unsanitary after reheating. These bento boxes at Amazon don’t stain, melt, fall apart or pop open. They are perfectly portioned for making nice dinners and they’ve lasted 10 months so far. Toady I noticed how bad the other kind of containers we have were getting. So I’m tossing out all the other scratched up, frosty white containers and I ordered more of these today. Just though I would share in case you ever need a decent container.

A Lid That Works!
Lid seals beautifully, snaps easily into place. Two removable plastic containers go inside box; they don’t have separate lids, so there would be spillover if the box got turned upside-down. Nice portion sizes for lunch. Wish it weren’t see-through, but I like that I can put it in the microwave.

Good deal
This is the second time I purchase these. They are a great size, and have been part of my meal planning. They feel like they will last a long time, good quality, good price. They seem to have a good seal on them, haven’t used liquids in them, but they seem to hold food in well.

Meal prepping dream
These are a great tool for meal prepping. I like the variety of option – 2 small servings, l med serving or just use as a container. The lids seal well. The only con is they are hard to hand wash. Oily residue does not easily come out. I donât have a dishwasher do handwashing is only option.

A great ouch container
I recommend these for lunch containers for both school and work, I had only been using my brother’s FIT boxes until I decided I should get my own, I do not regret this purchase.

I just got these boxes for family lunch. So far so good. The removable compartments are convenient and work well for different lunches.

Perfect for Portion Control: Durable and Leak-Proof Bento Boxes for Meal Prep
I recently purchased these three-compartment bento boxes for meal prepping, and overall, Iâm quite pleased with them. Hereâs my detailed review:Pros:Size and Capacity: The boxes are the perfect size for portion control. Each of the three compartments holds a decent amount of food without being overly bulky. I can easily pack a balanced meal with a protein, side dish, and fruit or snacks, which is exactly what I wanted.Durable Construction: The boxes feel sturdy and are made from high-quality plastic. Iâve used them for several weeks now, and thereâs no cracking, warping, or signs of wear, even after multiple washes.Leak-Proof Design: The lids seal tightly, which helps prevent leaks. Iâve had no issues with dressing or sauces spilling into other compartments. The lid also clicks into place securely, ensuring the contents stay fresh.Microwave and Dishwasher Safe: Itâs convenient that these can go into the microwave for reheating and are also dishwasher safe, which saves me time and effort during cleanup. The boxes hold up well in both situations without warping.Portion Control: I appreciate the compartments as they help me keep track of portions. Each section is clearly divided, making it easy to separate foods without mixing, which is ideal for meal prep.Cons:Size Limitation: While the compartments are great for standard meal portions, if youâre someone who likes larger meals or has a bigger appetite, you might find the sections a bit small. The middle compartment is particularly tight if you try to fit more than a moderate serving.Lid Closure: While the lids are generally leak-proof, Iâve noticed that with some items (like wetter foods), the seal can sometimes loosen slightly. I haven’t experienced any full leaks, but itâs worth being cautious with overly liquid-based meals.Aesthetics: The design is fairly basic, and while itâs functional, itâs not the most visually appealing or stylish option if you’re looking for something a bit more sleek or premium-looking.

Bit on the pricy side, but excellent quality for the price you pay. Let’s hope the kids don’t lose them at school.

Have only used for one day so far and loving them. Easy and exactly what I was looking for. I didnât rate on durability since Iâve only used once but they look fairly durable. You can swap around the inserts too depending on what portions you want in the container that day.

Good size, I like that the dividers can be taken out or mix and matched. Only complaint is that the containers canât be stacked for storage! But that was expected. Overall I love the versatility!
