Helps my picky preschooler eat
My son gets low blood sugar, but doesn’t want to eat. By chance he ate out of a snack tray I had put together for a party, and loved it, so I got these containers to be a more convenient way to give him the same experience. He lives them he loves to chose what will go in each section, and thinks choosing what to eat is much more interesting now. He also chooses a wide variety of healthy foods, and doesn’t ask for fun foods as often (cookies and candy). These boxes also work well for his older sisters lunch. She has a couple of bentgo type boxes, but if I don’t get the outside handwashed on time these are very convenient because I can stick them in the dishwasher. The boxes with three compartments can fit a sandwich, but she likes to have a snack-y lunch with the 4 compartment boxes. Both kids like the colors. Some boys might not love that both four compartment boxes are “girl” colors, but my son doesn’t care, actually he prefers them. The plastic feels strong enough, and they wash well in the dishwasher. I’d say definetly worth the cost. The only problem is that the lid is a little difficult to get on and off. You have to push down all around it to make sure it snaps everywhere. Maybe that doesn’t sound that difficult or different from other containers, but both of my kids (6 and 4) have a hard time remembering to do it. It also takes some work to open it. You have to pull it up by the tab, then go around the outside wiggling it up all the way around. I have sent anything like yogurt or applesauce in it, but the fresh fruit, and ham that I sent with my daughter to school seemed to stay contained in their spots well.

Bright colors and great for portion control
These snack containers are a great option if you want to take a few things on the go. I wouldn’t really call them bento boxes but they could be used for that. There are two shapes one with 4 equal size compartments and one with two small and one large one. There are 4 containers in total with the lids so you can meal prep for almost a full week. The lids snap on tightly and they clean up easily in the dishwasher though I only put them through on the top rack. They can also go in the microwave but the instructions say only for up to 3 minutes and without the lid. I mainly use these for cheese cubes, nuts, and some cut fruit so I’m not using the microwave. The box says it’s BPA free plastic but the listing says it’s made from wheat. It looks like the wheat or corn plastics I’ve seen before. These will get lots of use in my house.

Lovely set of snack boxes
These are a lovely set of snack boxes for kids. great colors and easy to put items for kids lunches.The containers are quite strong and light weight.They can stain if you put curries in them.My kids love them.One thing I would have liked is if all 4 of the boxes had 3 compartments. The 4 small compartments you can’t place larger items in there so personally it would have been nice to have all of them with the 3 compartments 2 small ones and one larger one.

Great for snacks or small meals!
This 4-pack of Bento boxes is excellent for snacks or small child-sized meals. I got these for my son to have at daycare for lunch. He’s only 1 so these are the perfect size for his lunch plus snacks but they are perfect for older kids lunches or as snacks boxes too. 2 boxes have 4 equal sized compartments, and 2 have 2 smaller and 1 larger compartments.The color variety is nice but I would have preferred more gender neutral colors personally. The colors appear to be 2 shades of purple (or one blue, depending on the context of colors around it), pink, and yellow. I don’t personally love the speckled pattern on these but it’s fine. They are BPA free, microwave/dishwasher/freezer safe, and the plastic/wheat straw material makes the boxes break resistant (my words – I don’t think the product claims this but I am familiar with wheat straw as a material for children’s dishes and know it’s supposed to be “unbreakable”).The lids seal well. They’re a snug fit and will be hard for my son to get off but older children wouldn’t have a problem. The label advised that these are not leak proof for liquids but I can’t envision using this for that purpose anyway. When not in use, these boxes can nest inside of each other. These boxes are $8 regularly and just under $7 for Black Friday sale. Even at full price I feel these are a great value!

favorite item ever!
I am SO obsessed with these snack boxes!! I love the different sizes! I use it to make adult snack and lunch boxes! They’re the perfect sized portions! My favorite part about these is that each individual section gets completely sealed off by the lid. It makes it perfect for using pickles, meats and dressings/sauces without it making the food in other sections smell or taste weird!

SO INCONVENIENT
The concept of a 4-compartment bento box seemed perfect for meal prep, but the execution is disappointing. The compartment sizes are poorly designedâsome are far too small for a reasonable portion, while ant the same time are unnecessarily large, leaving wasted space. This defeats the purpose of balanced portioning and makes it frustrating to use. If the compartments were more thoughtfully sized, this could have been a great product. Unfortunately, as it stands, itâs not practical for meal prepping or lunch packing.
