Just what me and my kitchen needed
I’ve been wanting one of these for a long time.I couldn’t make thin slices to save my life. I’d always end up with one side thicker than the other.Not anymore. The other day I used this to slice a tomato, and it worked perfectly. You simply push the tines through the center of the tomato then use each or every other one as a guide for your knife. When you remove the tomato from between the rods it is in measured slices. Can’t be any easier.I did the same with an onion when slicing it for chili. It will work on boiled eggs too.This one has metal rods that have a pointy tip.They had plastic ones too, but I think the metal one will last longer and I don’t have to worry about my sharpest knives gouging the plastic.I love it. I keep washing it off, then before it makes its way from the dish rack into a drawer, I find another use for it.If you are famous for lopsided slices, grab one of these and all those weird-shaped tomato or onion slices will be a thing of the past.I wish I’d got one a long time ago.

Love this cutting ‘guide’. This makes slicing &/or dicing onions so much safer for me. I especially like it for onions since they often make me cry and then it is even harder to see what I am doing. With this handy, space saving gadget, I can slice & dice without fear of cutting my fingers on the hand holding the onion in place. We love onions and have them in meals or as side dish most every day so this gets a lot of use. It is nice and slim so it easily fits in a already overcrowded drawer.

Needs a safety cpver
This is a great product but be careful how you store it. The tips are extremely sharp and can easily injure a hand when rifling through your drawer. The manufacturer should include a hard plastic cover to prevent problems and also make it easier to find in a crowded drawer.

Iâm pretty good with a knife, but this is helpful. Â Iâve used it more for poking holes is baked potatoes that cutting onion. Â

Very Nice Looking – But thick Cuts.
The resulting slices were quite uneven in thickness and generally too thick for my sandwiches. My large knife drifted a little during cutting making the slices uneven, and then affecting the thickness of the next slice adjacent to the one described. I like it but prefer the guide prongs be closer together. (That’s all on the first day of cutting.)
